Meet The Photographer

MEET SUZANNE

I’m Suzanne Barnes, owner and photographer here at The Brand Creative Photography & Design. I live in The Woodlands, Texas, with my husband and two boys. Our lives are pretty typical of most families today – we’re always on the go, and the days are filled with carefully orchestrated chaos. When we’re not moving 90 to nothin’, we love to go hiking, visit the zoo and science museum, and just hang out at home being lazy.

I’m a graduate of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education. My passion is photography, but being an educator is a huge part of my heart. I absolutely love being able to help others grow and achieve their dreams.

And now for the stuff you really want to know: I’m addicted to coffee and Pinterest, doing dishes is my least favorite chore, and crockpot cooking saves my life. I have a silky terrier named Jade that I’ve had longer than my husband, and my happy place is the beach. 🙂

SWEET NOTHINGS PHOTOGRAPHY

I’ve been a portrait photographer for the last 6 years. I started my first photography business Sweet Nothings Photography, in Austin 2015, and it’s still going strong today. Under that brand, I photograph families, expectant moms, newborns, and high school seniors. I’ve been recognized as one of the Top Portrait Photographers in Austin (2016, 2018) by Expertise, and one of the Top 10 Headshot Photographers in Austin in 2016.

THE BRAND CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY & DESIGN

The Brand Creative Photography and Design was born in January of 2019. Some may ask why start a new business if I had a successful portrait business up and running already. And the answer to that is simple – Branding. My lovey dovey Sweet Nothings brand wasn’t built to attract the clients I wanted to serve, nor did it reflect the services I wanted to offer. So I dove headfirst into this new niche and created a new brand that was more appropriate.
