Hello there! Today I’d like to share a recent story session with you! Meet Lynette, owner of Floppy Glitter, a representative of Color Street Nail Polish. We met a few weeks ago and completed a story branding profile for her personal brand, and then shot a story session at Market Street and Town Green Park in The Woodlands.
In these posts, I love to feature the business owner and let them tell you about their business and Story Session in their own words. Here’s her interview.
Tell us about your business.
“For many years I have been looking for a simple way to have beautiful nails and this is it!! I am thrilled to share Color Street with you. You can have gorgeous manicures and pedicures in minutes for a fraction of the cost of a salon.”
How was your Story Session experience?
“Suzanne had great ideas for pictures so I was confident there would be good pictures to share.”
Did you have any reservations or concerns going into the photo session?
“The only thing I was concerned about was knowing what to do. Suzanne’s style and demeanor are so helpful and easy to work with that my concerns were easily forgotten.”
In our Story Sessions, we focus on telling specific ‘stories’ about the client’s business in order to help their ideal customers feel more connected to them on a personal level. Your customers need to know, like, and trust you before they will purchase goods and services from you, so my job is to make the person behind the brand relatable to leads and customers. In Lynette’s session, we planned out 3 stories to share on social media. She wanted her clients 1. to get to know who she is and what she does, 2. relate to her as a busy, working mom, and 3. to feel a sense of how they themselves can connect to loved ones by hosting a nail party. She also wanted to make sure her nails were featured in the photos, and wanted a few product shots as well. I think we “nailed” it, pun intended! 🙂
When we asked Lynette how she felt about her final images, she said, “My images are beautiful and fabulous!!”
One of the main reasons business owners choose a Story Session is to have plenty of fresh content that is personal to their brand to share on social media. After all, our mission at the Brand Creative and Design is to help business owners create a professional and profitable online presence!
We asked Lynette if she had noticed a change in her social media following and engagement since she began posting personal branding images from her Story Session. Here’s what she had to say: “Oh my YES!! Instagram has grown, and friends are reaching out to me asking me about my new thing.”
Do you have any advice for other business owners who are considering or planning an upcoming Story Session?
“Get it done sooner than later and often!!”
I hope you enjoyed viewing Lynette’s Story Session images! I can’t wait for her next Story Session!
